MProtect 2009 is a fake security tool that was created to make believe the user this software will help him to get rid of the viruses that were infected on the computer. However, it must be remarked that MProtector 2009 is not able to delete any kind of virus and the only thing it will definitely do is take the money from the credit card of the user.
MProtect 2009, like other rogues, distributes itself by malicious websites and gets into the PC through trojans. It starts every time the computer is rebooted and the user is flooded with popup windows and fake security alerts that claim that the PC is infected with badware.
